Myanmar (aka Burma) - 2012
After our 2012 S.E. Asia workshop finished, four of us traveled to Myanmar (Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake) for a week of incredible photography. The people were warm and delightful and overjoyed with the liberalizing steps currently underway. We certainly hope that the Myanmar government continues on the liberalizing road they have recently laid out. After decades of neglect and suppression, the citizens at last have hope of a better life to come - let's hope it is not premature and that Aung San Suu Kyi's movement lasts beyond her tenure.
